Baltimore's American Treasures

From May 1 thru July 10, 2016 Carroll Mansion, The All American House/2016, will serve as the epicenter of the Baltimore’s American Treasures event. Visitors, starting at Carroll Mansion, will undertake an unforgettable journey through time and place and immerse themselves in Baltimore’s design and cultural heritage.

Carroll Mansion, and 25 other iconic Baltimore destinations designated as the Nation’s first official American Treasures sites, will showcase the best of Baltimore’s design heritage. The American Treasure’s event will also lay the foundation for the city to become an major and important architecture and cultural heritage site destination.

Baltimore’s American Treasures will attract tourists and residents alike to see the city in an entirely new light. The American Treasures tour of Baltimore’s singular built environment will be structured to help visitors understand the city’s important role in shaping American design, culture and food ways. It will be a showcase for Baltimore-based companies that, from the city’s earliest days, have set standards for excellence in furniture, textile, tableware and fashion design, helping to shaped and influenced similar industries here and abroad.

Each America Treasures site works in cooperation with Carroll Mansion and MADE: In America to create exhibits, programs, events and activities tied to the theme and purpose of the All American House to showcase the very best of American Design in Baltimore.
